Asbestos and Lead can be found in commercial and residential buildings.
Let WRE conduct testing to keep you and others around you safe.
According to Asbestos.com "Asbestos is a group of six naturally occurring minerals made up of heat-resistant fibers. It was used in thousands of U.S. consumer products before the dangers of asbestos were known. Asbestos causes mesothelioma, lung cancer and other cancers. Asbestos is regulated in the U.S., but not banned."
Because of it's ability to be resistant to corrosion, electricity, and heat asbestos was very useful. Although a naturally occurring mineral that is flexible and used as a very effective insulator, the fibers are inhaled or ingested and can become permanently trapped in the body.
Here are reasons to have asbestos testing done:
to ensure the safety of our clients, abatement workers, and the
environment.
Asbestos Abatement Monitoring ensures that the Abatement
Contractor follows all Federal and State Regulations. WRE provides
clearance sampling following asbestos abatement to ensure the area is
safe for re-occupancy.
The EPA requires asbestos evaluation prior to any permitted renovation or demolition. WEIR READY ENVIRONMENTAL has experienced AHERA accredited personnel available to determine whether materials contain asbestos and whether those materials have become hazardous to occupants.
WRE will use inspections and assessments to identify potential lead contaminations.
Lead is a heavy metal that can slow mental and physical growth if elevated levels are present in the blood. Pregnant women and children are particularly vulnerable to the toxic effects of lead because of their developing physiology. Even minor exposure to lead can cause nervous system disorders, lowered IQs, impaired memory, and shortened attention spans. Sources of lead hazards include lead-based paint (LBP), contaminated dust and soils, drinking water components including lead water pipes, and various other products or hobbies.
Our team of lead specialists are knowledgeable in the different sources of lead, common industry lead issues, and how to effectively correct the issue. Using leading technology, we offer heightened lead management. Our x-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzer technology provides non-destructive, instantaneous testing for lead.
WRE provides a wide variety of Lead Inspections including:
